Uses:
Tacrolimus is used with other medications to preventrejection of a kidney, heart, or liver transplant. This medication belongs to aclass of drugs known as immunosuppressants. It works by weakening your body'sdefense system (immune system) to help your body accept the new organ as if itwere your own.
SideEffects :
Shaking, headache, diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, upsetstomach, loss of appetite, trouble sleeping, and tingling of the hands/feet mayoccur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor orpharmacist promptly.
Precautions:
Before taking tacrolimus, tell your doctor orpharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to other macrolide medications (suchas sirolimus); or if you have any other allergies. This product may containinactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems.Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
