Clindamycin is an antibiotic. It is used to treat certain bacterial infections of the skin, lung, digestive system, bones, joints and genitals.
How does Clindamycin work:
Clindamycin can also be used to prevent infection if you are undergoing certain dental procedures.
How should Clindamycin be used:
Take Clindamycin exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor. Take Clindamycin at regular intervals as instructed. Do not skip any doses. Continue to take it even when you feel better. You must complete the entire course of antibiotic.
Clindamycin may cause diarrhoea, nausea and stomach discomfort. These side effects are usually temporary. If you have diarrhoea, drink lots of water to replace the fluids lost.
